Introduction

The 7th Taiwan International Video Art Exhibition of TIVA, curated by Fengjia Art Museum, invites two curators every two years to carry out the theme conception and selection. This year's "Art Museum of the Night" will broadcast a total of five video works in the outdoor park, cultural and creative stores and exhibition areas, from Spain, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom and Italy, by integrating the spatial characteristics of Yuxiu Art Museum to present " ANIMA" is a difficult conceptual theme to define.

"ANIMA" was proposed by the curators Lin Yihua and You Wei, which means life and soul. This concept cuts into the discussion of the virtual and real discourse and the potential alternative reality of the moving image itself, as well as the subtleties that are constantly growing within us during the viewing process. Awareness or consciousness. As a method of expression, video corresponds to the spiritual world that is difficult for human beings to control. In the end, it will be a smooth collision and blending, or a spiritual escape and freedom. In the superposition of these five video works and the projection space, the audience will experience the feeling for themselves.

This event invites curator You Wei to come to the scene in person. In addition to sharing the reasons for the curation and the narrative space and creative spirit behind the images, it also highlights the very different “viewing” and “images” themselves in the city or in the mountains and forests. In the field, the unique sensory experience that stretches out.
